And We Dream
Well.
The tiny fraction
of time that is called life is manifested on the material level for
many purposes or no purpose at all. The physical world is how things
are explained or carried out and can show relationships between one
object to one another. The dream world is how everything is accomplished,
created, healed, and destroyed. Lessons occur within dreaming and the
mind translates it for us into dream symbols, or the memory of dreaming.
The actual process of dreaming is far too complex to realize in any
familiar terms so that what is used are symbols.
The translation
of dreaming into these symbols can be clean, or foggy. Or humorous.
Or blocked. Or like a clear movie screen complete with animated presentations,
the mind's way of attempting to replay what has happened. These translations
are in a symbolic language that is unique and individual. They are messages
that can be decoded with the right amount of effort and practice.
Sometimes the messages
are mystifying, yet the dreamer knows that the meaning may have a greater
potential for valuable information. A lot of times this is when the
dreamer shares the dreams with others getting a whole range of ideas.
The very act of telling a dream or writing it can be beneficial and
all that is needed to decode the message. Sometimes, when sharing with
others, the truth of what happened in the dream is twisted. This is
done either accidentally due to inaccurate recall, purposely, or both.
The dreamer can
believe that it is ok to lie about the dream because of the perceived
belief that the dream is not real anyway. Some even confuse the dreams
with reality and twist both around when describing something to others.
As this becomes a way of life, deviation from what is true takes place
and is evident to those observing. When people observe them by looking
closely at their dreams, this can be realized by the individual and
corrected often before an unwanted public revelation is made. This helps
increase one's sense of integrity.
Dreams are what
show us what the masks we wear are like. Some masks are clear, neat,
open and easy to reveal the person behind. Some masks do not even look
like masks at all. Many masks reveal the person behind the mask but
only to those who want to see. This can happen with or without the awareness
of the dreamer, or mask wearer. Masks can be very well made with conscious
intention of hiding the person behind, some of course will still see
who is really behind the mask. There are some that do not know they
are wearing a mask and believe that the mask itself is the real person.
Many can see the real person behind the mask in those cases.
The process of
dreaming is the person behind the mask. The dream symbol or mind's translation
of the dreaming is one of the things that help build the mask. During
waking life and around others the mask is on. It is how the mask is
constructed and worn that is shown to the world around us.
